What to Bring to a Loan Application
Financing a home can be a confusing process for even the most financial savvy borrower. At BankFirst, we can help to make the process make sense.
You can help too. By having all your required documentation together when you make application, you help to speed up the process. The sooner we can collect the necessary documentation for your application, the sooner we can get your loan approved and closed. We'll need the following provided in order to expedite your loan application.
General Information
- Names and addresses of your mortgage holder and/or landlord for the last two years.
- A copy of the executed sales contract, if purchasing a home.
- Copy of divorce decree if applicable.
- If you will be applying for a VA (Veterans Administration) loan, please provide a copy of your DD214 and your VA Certificate of Eligibility.
- A check for the credit report. This fee must be paid up front since this service is ordered from a third-party vendor. Unfortunately, we can't proceed with the processing of your application until this fee is paid!
Employment Information
- Names and addresses of all your employers for the last two years.
- Copies of your last two 30 day pay stubs.
- Copies of your W2's / 1099's for the past two years. If you are self-employed or received bonus income, please provide your complete tax returns for the past two years (corporate and partnership returns will also be required where applicable).
Assets/Liabilities
- Copies of your last two months bank statements on all depository accounts. Copies of stock accounts, mutual funds, 401K, etc. will also be required.
- A complete list of debts including account numbers, monthly payments and balance.
- If you have filed bankruptcy within the last seven years, provide a copy of the bankruptcy papers.
